Both calibrated with the same Spyder 4 Elite and DisplayCAL. I am going to have to uninstall DisplayCAL and install Spyder software back. Using Spyder software the white point is OK, but I'm getting green tint in greys, especially visible on B&W image. Not ideal, but at least I don't have a very strong colouration to the whole image, like I do now. About DisplayCAL. DisplayCAL (formerly known as dispcalGUI) is a display calibration and profiling solution with a focus on accuracy and versatility (in fact, the author is of the honest opinion it may be the most accurate and versatile ICC compatible display profiling solution available anywhere). At its core it relies on ArgyllCMS, an open source color management system, to take measurements.
Tutorial on how to calibrate your screen with DisplayCAL ánd a Spyder 5, and a little talk about lighting
Hi there presently there,
a few weeks ago we got a discussion on using DisplayCAL over the Spyder software to calibrate your display screen, people were saying that DisplayCAL does a far better work than the Spyder software program.
Sincé I caIibrated with DisplayCAL fór the very first period, there will be no way I would move back using the Spyder software.
I put some effort in and wrote a very lengthy write-up on lights and a action by action guideline on how to get DisplayCAL to work with a Spydér (4 or 5 doesn't issue).
Consider me quick on the lights component tho, I'michael by no means that a professional and simply try to reflect what I learned myself, gladly taking modifications in the write-up from you guys.
Probably this is usually helpful for someone.
